Key Stage 4 (years 10 & 11)
In
preparation for GCSE examinations, all students continue to follow
core courses in English, Mathematics, Science (in ability groups),
ICT, RE and Personal Citizenship and Health Education. In addition,
following a programme of career and option choice guidance in Year
9, students have the flexibility to select the remainder of their
subject choices from the full range of entitlement areas in ICT,
humanities, arts, technologies, languages and applied GCSEs. We offer
a partially differentiated curriculum to each of two bands of students,
grouped by their prior and predicted achievement and motivations.
This helps ensure all students are well placed to enjoy and succeed
at their courses.
