Charging Policy

The governing body has agreed a policy of payment for certain activities within the constraints of the 1988 Education Act. Charges are made for:-

i. Residential school journeys
ii. Materials used in Technology lessons
iii. Expenses incurred on non-curriculum related school activities.
iv. Public Exams – cost of scrutinising the results if parents request the process and full cost of exam entry in the case of non attendance.

Charges made for the above represent only a part of the full cost. The governors are adamant that no child should be excluded from an educational activity for reasons of financial hardship.
