John Roan Photo Policy
Internet photo policy
Including images of pupils on the school web site can be motivating for the pupils involved and provide a good opportunity to promote the work of the school. However, The John Roan School will ensure that the use of photographs protects the privacy of our students and that permission for their use is granted from the student and/or parent.
The photograph policy
To sum this up The John Roan School ensures:
1. A students name will never be published alongside a photograph (which
is not considered a group photograph) - see point 5
2. If a students name is printed, a photograph of the individual (which is not
considered a group photograph) will not be used - see point 5
3. If an email address for a project is needed to be given out, a teachers email
address will be used
4. No personal/sensitive details (address, phone number) of students will be
posted
5. A group photograph is considered to be at least 4 students,
If a group photograph is shown, first names may be given but not necessarily
in the order that the students are shown .
